Hurray! We have passed our ECO Platform audit!
We are happy and proud to announce that we have passed the independent audit conducted by ECO Platform. This is an important seal of quality that demonstrates that our work with EPDs meets the common European requirements for consistency and transparency.
Why is this an important milestone?
- The ECO Platform ensures harmonisation and common standards for EPDs across Europe. When an EPD bears the ECO Platform logo, users and builders can trust that it meets common, recognised quality criteria regardless of the programme operator.
- This means easier access to the European market for manufacturers and greater credibility, because the content and preparation of EPDs are consistent, transparent and verified according to common rules.
- For users, it also means that the comparability of environmental data is improved, because the basis for EPDs is the same across borders and sectors.
- The audit is one of the only mechanisms that ensures that programme operators also live up to the standards they claim. Therefore, we recommend that you always look for the ECO Platform's “ECO EPD-verified” logo when using an EPD!
